My friend has an aternos server that uses this mod, it seems everyone but me can use it. I'm very sure I have it installed correctly.

"Not allowing" meaning it will just show "Connection Lost"? Make sure everyone is using the same Origins version as you and the server (I pushed an update recently). This can be caused by a version mismatch.
