disabling Overflowing Bars gets rid of the text issue

Can you reproduce the issue with just Overflowing Bars?

It's a bit finicky. the chat is fine on singleplayer worlds, but on my modded minecraft server, which has mods that need to be on client and server, the chat is as is.

ah, that's just the image compression. the screenshot was over 10mb so I quickly ran it through some random internet image compressor

And why has the interface such strong blue tint? Is that intentional?

I also want to note: when you press t to open up the chat, everything is visible. it's only when new items hover on the HUD for a second that the chat is tiny
