It seems that, if a player enters noclip mode, they are unable to hit any creatures with an empty hand until the server is restarted. It doesn't matter if they exit noclip mode. Relogging doesn't help. Just entering noclip mode is enough to break this for the particular player until the server is restarted. (This also affects trying to hit with a non-weapon items.)

Doing more testing. I tried with another player and it doesn't happen to them.
