Is there a config option to disable the ability for players to plant crops directly from the crop item so that they have to use seeds? I tried the enablecropspecialplanting = false but that doesn't work.

Second this above. I did find a work around, @Cuplex17 . you can use Crafttweaker to check if a player is using a crop on tilled dirt and cancel the event. This will prevent this behavior, but being able to just change this in the config would be much nicer.
