Just as vanilla horses don't gallop to complete their idle wandering, moas shouldn't sprint around in circles. Aside from looking odd, it causes them to frequently fall off quicksand, run into hazards, etc. I suggest having them walk around at faster-than-usual but still reasonable speeds, and sprinting long distances if they have space.
