All I've been able to find so far is

Patchouli is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License

Yes, this means you can use it in your modpack, video, let's play, server, whatever, don't bother asking, just do it. Just say I made it and link back here and we'll get along.

It's good practice to put a license in the repository itself, typically as a LICENSE(.md|txt) file in the root. A snippet in the readme is OK.

The license is on the CurseForge page, but I couldn't really find any reference to the CurseForge page here, and hence no reference to the license.
