I was sent here after reporting these for a mod called Occultism. First issue is simple:

happends on all books in the mod. I dont have other mods that use your books to test it.

Second issue is I believe tied to Patchouli as well, I rarely even got to upen the book because when i gift it to myself in creative I cant open it and after that I cant open any GUI items like chests, furnace, etc.
This is inconsistent to reproduce as some of the times this bug is true from the start without even trying to open the book, and sometimes it happends only after trying to open it, and one or two times I actually got to open it and you see the bug above, maybe its tied?

False alarm, it looked to be just a resource pack changing font, which breaks Patchouli
