Issue description
When using the Essential mod, Patchouli causes the multiplayer functionality to break, saying "timed out" when the joiner finishes loading.
Steps to reproduce
- have someone install Essential and host a world
- join it
- host should see "player has joined" in chat followed by "player has left"
- joiner gets error message "timed out"
