In what kind of world or server did the problem occur?

My multiplayer server that I was running

What went wrong? (Crash logs don't go here)

i updated my server, running ars expeditions from 1.8 to 1.9, and on logging in i was only able to view the chunk i was in. moving from the chunk i was in let me see the next chunk. i deleted my world folder and started on a fresh install, which fixed the problem. setting myself back to being small again, with "/scale set pehkui:height 0.125" and "/scale set pehkui:width 0.125" I, on using the first command, found the render distance drop to a single chunk once more. Trying to fix the problem, I tried a few other commands and found that "/scale set pehkui:eye_height 0.125" would also mess with it.
