[1.16.5 - On a Server] Crash when placing a Powah Energy Cable/Pipe ontop of @Pipez Energy Pipes.

Bug description
This is from a user in my discord his description of the crash: (On a server)
Just discovered an interaction between Powah energy cables and Pipez energy cable
A Pipez energy cable was connected to a Powah energy cable, and when going to configure it to break the cable, it instead tried to pull energy in a loop and crashed the server.

Side Note
Not sure if I should report this here or on the Powah issue tracker. I'm going to try here and see what ca be said about the issue first before I do it on Powah's issue tracker.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Be on a server.
  2. Place down a few Pipez energy pipes.
  3. Place a Powah Energy pipe/cable ontop of it.
  4. Now configure the Pipez Pipe.
  5. Server crashed.
  6. See error.

Expected behavior
That the server doesnt crash.

Replicated your setup. Works perfectly fine.

Hm after further inspection it seems that they Hit / right clicked the already configured pipe with the Crescent Hammer from Thermal Series. Then poof crash.

What do you mean?

commented

Huh? The image pretty much explains it I think.

commented

Also tested that and it works fine.

commented

Probably caused by more mods than those then. Hm..

commented

Please do a minimal reproducible setup, with just the mods that are causing the crash.

commented

Just tried it, couldn't reproduce it either.

commented

OK, please let me know once you have more information and I will reopen this issue

commented

Can reproduce it in my modpack after a couple tries with the crescent hammer from thermal.
New report: Looks identical to the other one though. https://gist.github.com/Gbergz/176d8efb919da8fd04d6d0972f5b0965

Edit: Server is now in a crash loop and can't be loaded into.

commented

Alright I can now reproduce it in an instance with only the suspected mods.

Here's a world download with the crash happening in a loop.
world.zip

Using the mods in the Updated message above. (5 mods) cofh core doesnt need to be there.

commented

Your world crashes for me too.

But I am still not able to reproduce it.

Like I did in the video. You generally just need to spam the wrench on the pipes and then eventually it crashes. Are you in a server ? Because it only happens on a server. Fine in Single

commented

Sorry, didn't see the video, now it crashes.

commented

I looked into it. I can't find anything that would cause a stack overflow in my code. Would you please also report this issue to the powah mod?
I'm not certain if it is caused by them, but it might be a possibility.

commented

I'll do a report to them later, and link this issue since it has a lot of info already. ๐Ÿ‘

Currently out atm.
