How would I go about writing a config for wood logs, or glass panes into anything else?

None of the following work; am I doing something wrong or is this something that needs to be fixed in the mod?

minecraft:log variant:oak charcoal_pit:log_pile
minecraft:log oak charcoal_pit:log_pile
minecraft:log 1 charcoal_pit:log_pile

Never mind, I figured it out from your other mod; Degrade Exploded Blocks, variant=oak.
