Licensing of Older Versions

I made a port of the last forge version to 1.18.2 (https://github.com/LukeGrahamLandryMC/PlayerEx). Although more recent versions of PlayerEx are MIT, the version I forked (1.1.8) was ARR. My impression from your curseforge comments was this port would be permitted nonetheless. I'd like to clarify, would I have permission to license my fork as MIT?

I'd also be happy to PR my changes to this repository or for you to release it on your curseforge project, but I assume you wouldn't want the appearance of supporting it (which is totally fair!).

Thanks for your time :)

Hi there,
You are correct, even though previous versions were ARR, when I made the change to MIT it was for the entire project. You have my full permission and go ahead to license your fork as MIT.

As for releasing your port, I'd rather not do it on my Curseforge project - it is your code now you should release it as you see fit.

Thank you for taking the time to ask about this, even though I would have been supportive of it regardless, it's always nice to be kept in the loop on new ports.
