Inventory wont open if baubles mod isnt installed

So originally I just had your mod installed in my pack and I load up the world and my inventory key does nothing in both creative and survival. I tried rebinding it and I tried pressing "I" instead, nothing opened my inventory. when pressing Lcontrol the autopickup disabled text still popped up but I could in no way open my inventory.

I solved the issue after looking into the log file and I saw that it mentioned baubles slots a lot, so I installed baubles into my pack and sure enough the mod functioned normally after that. here is the snippet from the log file, I don't really know why installing baubles made it work, but it did
