Harvester Drone gets stuck on trees
octylFractal opened this issue ยท 4 comments
Describe the bug
The harvester drone can get stuck on trees for a while, but not infinitely as it will eventually refuel. It happened more often with spruce trees.

How to reproduce the bug
- Make a tree farm, probably spruce for best results, but as shown it can happen with other types.
- Assign a harvester drone and wait up to 30 minutes.
- Harvester drone will get stuck underneath some leaves eventually and just sort of move around under them without harvesting anything.
Expected behavior
The drone should not get stuck on totally normal tree growth.

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem, but I'll keep an eye out for it. When you say spruce, do you mean the small spruce trees or the big 2x2 trees (or both) ? Tree type shouldn't make a difference, all log & leaf types are the same block shapes and properties...
I have also just noticed drones will start successfully pathing if I add a block underneath or above the one they are stuck on. I'm fairly confident the single blocks vertically are the issue.
I've been having this problem as well. I'm on a FTB evolution server. The pack is version 1.10.0, Pnematiccraft is version 8.2.8, and MC is version 1.21.1. I believe the issue is a single layer of blocks with air above and below it that the drone attempts to path around. The drone (at least visually) attempts to move diagonally to the edge of the block it's directly above or underneath, before rubber banding back to it's original position. Sometimes it will pick a new path, but it still it will still usually attempt to go the same direction and get rubberbanded again. I've had it happen with more than just leaf blocks.
