Can't clear NBT tags from Energizing Rods

  • Minecraft: 1,19,2
  • Forge: 43.2.14
  • Powah: 4.0.10

Issue description:

There's no way to clear the NBT tags from Energizing Rods, for ex: when they're storing energy. Which means that autocrafting mods (for ex; Refined Storage) don't recognize them as crafting components when you're trying to upgrade to the next tier of Energizing Rods.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Craft an Energizing Rod that is less than Nitro tier.
  2. Connect it to RF source and let it store some RF.
  3. Remove it and dump it into Refined Storage.
  4. Attempt to autocraft the next tier of Energizing Rod.
  5. Notice that your existing Energizing Rod is not a valid crafting component.
  6. Take out the Energizing Rod.
  7. Stare it at intently, wondering how to clear the NBT tags from it (short of crafting another battery and a cable and connecting it to manually drain the energy).
  8. Think about how all other mods let you clear NBT tags by putting the item in the crafting grid.
  9. Try placing the Energizing Rod by itself in the crafting grid.
  10. Notice that you can't clear the NBT tags this way.
  11. Conclude that it so obvious a feature that it must be a bug that it doesn't work.

+1. Even after draining the rod using the Energy Discharger, the rods does not seem to be recognized.
