Given how difficult it is to automate the usage of energizing orbs, there is often a need to create multiple energizing orbs so that necessary resources can be produced in parallel. Unfortunately this also means one energizing rod per orb. If one rod could link to multiple orbs (which is what their appearance suggests is possible), this would be a lot simpler to set up.
