[1.12.2] Not able to view inventory from a ME system

I am currently playing 1.12.2. However, I cannot connect to the ME system storage. I have tried to connect node to ME controller, ME drive, and ME interface, and use an inventory reader to view its inventory but none of them works. I have made sure that the system is working as I can use a sub ME network and attach a storage bus to the ME interface in the main network to view its inventory. As it says it supports ME system in the wiki, that's why I believe I should ask here.
I am currently using
Practical Logistics 2 - 1.12.2-3.0.8.11
Applied Energistics 2 - rv6-stable-6
