Title says it all. As far as I am aware, no additional steps are needed to make the mod work on neoforge other than putting it in as a valid loader dependency.

This is not true - NeoForge 20.2+ does not support Forge mods at all and deliberately renamed all packages to break support, including for code that would otherwise be identical. I have no plans on supporting neo at this time due to my poor early experiences with the project and some of their community.
