I'm using:

Minecraft 1.20.1
Neoforge - 47.1.106
PrettyPipes - 1.15.0
PP:Fluids - 2.0.1
Create (for a fluid tank - the same behaviour happens on other mod's fluid tanks)

when I add an extraction module to a fluid pipe which is connected to both the source container & the receiving fluid container, the fluid pipe extracts a normal amount, but deposits four times as much in the output container!!
this happens for all extraction modules - low medium & high.
I was unable to get the retrieval modules to work at all - they seem to simply not function - so I was unable to test them.
