Despite my settings for primitive mobs' spawn rates, they dominate vanilla spawns. Only way to fix is to set added rarity to insane levels or switch MUTIMOBMONSTER to MONSTER. I am unsure if this the intended effect, however, below are some examples.

Hmm some other mod might be influencing the spawns? But yeh your solution seems fine if this is somehow happening. It's strange though, I use the vanilla system so yeh... Im doing nothing crazy there. you didnt enable the additionalspaweroptions right? Also its definitely possible that spawns are higher now than in 1.2.2 but it shouldnt be crazy. Thanks btw!

I've got other monster mods like EnderIO Zoo and Mowzie's Mobs so something else could be affecting spawns but Primitive Mobs does dominate the spawns for me as well.

@Stormalisk btw what are those nice big caves from? Is that just big caves option from Quark or some other mod?

I might know what's happening here. Im working on a way to mitigate the issue.

Also I use the CaveGenerator mod to get similar sized caves ;)

@nephatrine The mod I'm using is Worley's caves. The stalagmites/stalactites are quark's.

Also, most major mob mod I have is lycanite's mobs but it uses it's own spawner systems. Though it can use vanilla spawners like MONSTER.
