When shift clicking a machine or hive 4 upgrades are put in the machine instead of 1.
This would save a lot of time.

don't know if that's an easy thing since the shift click behavior is built-in to MC

you can however sneak and right click the hive with your upgrades in hand to insert them without opening the GUI
