Describe the bug
Melee hitting a mob with a bow/crossbow gives Archery XP

Expected behavior
Melee hitting a mob with a bow/crossbow gives Combat XP

To Reproduce

  1. Equip Bow or Crossbow in main hand
  2. Hit the mob melee

Versions:

  • Minecraft: 1.16.5
  • Loader: Forge 36.2.39
  • PMMO: 1.16.5-3.68.0

Additional context
I believe this is due to the way the mod retrieves the weapon type from req_weapon before checking what sort of damage is dealt, doing some testing on a fix to confirm.
