Inverted fixture on microblock not showing, crashing when removing microblock

I placed some iron block covers over redstone conduits, and fixtures on top of the covers. When I returned to the spot, some of the fixtures were invisible, and not lighting up the area. The block space was occupied, as I couldn't place anything there. Mining the cover crashed the game, but upon reentering was able to pick up both the cover and the fixture.
