What happened?

i've placed covers from CB multipart in row, and need to place redstone wire on them. wire does not place at all. i've expected the wire will be placed, and it will be connective like it is on side on full block on which covers are placed.

How do you make it happen again?

1. place full block
2. place CB multipart cover on it
3. try to place wire or bus on it
4. wire will not be placed

If you place a cover on top of a full block, it gets put into the bottom slot of the block above. You cannot place a wire on that.
