[Gate Request] Analog Output Gate

The analog output gate would act like a not gate (an input at the bottom which switches off the outputs, and outputs on the top, left and right that can be disabled), except the outputs output a signal with a certain signal strength. The signal strength would have a default value of 255 (the highest signal strength in a wire), and it could be set in a GUI.
It can currently be made only using one power source and no gates, but the length of wiring required to obtain a small signal strength could be up to 29 blocks long (or maybe 28, I'm not sure) using a combination of wiring and redstone dust (which means that ic cannot be built on a roof or underwater). It would be useful for signal subtraction with a comparator, or for boosting a signal without losing the strength.
But comparators seem to be the only way to detect the contents of an inventory without using BC gates, and they output their signal in analog.
