What I expected to happen: cast a spell in my server

What happened instead: a blue blob of particles appeared. The spells worked perfectly with the same programming in a single-player world.

Attached is an image of me trying to cast a debug trick, only to yield a blue blob of particles. The same happens with the fuse trick, etc.
