Post a reply to this issue for any new effects/substances you'd like to see added to the mod.

Of course because I've never actually done any of these things, I am reliant on user feedback to know what the effects are and should look like, so please be very detailed and descriptive where possible!

Suggestions should include (at a minimum):

  • The name, and potential aliases for the drug
  • What effects does it have? hallucinations, side-effects, how strong it is, how long it lasts, etc.
  • Methods of application, how does the player obtain it, and take it? Are there multiple ways or only one?
  • Are there items/accessories that can be added which would compliment your suggestion?

Any visual examples would also be helpful!

Ketamine which could slow your walking and give you hallucinations and could come in powder which can be snorted or you could put in a syringe and inject it or maybe tablets that could be swallowed

I've refrained from adding chemical drugs in the past because 1) they require some kind of chemical crafting (which is arguably not compatible with the middleage-y aesthetic of Minecraft), and 2) the effects are less visual or qualitative than psychedelics and alcohol. I'm looking forward to see how you want to tackle these challenges.

I've previously also used resources like https://www.erowid.org in order to accurately recreate the effects ingame.

You're impatient @Sollace is maintaining this mod in their free time and while also working on a lot of other mods as well
He usually works on one mod at a time until he is able to release then he releases and then does something else

The reason I was so harsh is because this one of the most common questions on github and thereby is annoying

In addition to that the person behind the recent backdoor in the xz library started manipulating the maintainer using someone else's "is this still maintained" question so that's why I personally really dislike these questions

Okay, I get it. But I rarely see such questions myself, and if they end up being asked, then they usually aren't supposed to mean "GO FASTER". And this case is certainly not used to manipulate @Sollace into a backdoor in her mod. You might get annoyed, but I still think my question is okay.

Not a new drug, but still a feature.
Could we get:
-pack of cigarettes (for better handling of cigarettes, have just a pack with 20 slots for cigarettes and joints only)
-cigar box (same as for cigarettes, this would be helpful, but with fewer slots, maybe 8 or 10 at max)
-recipe book (simplified ingame book wiki, where you can see how to harvest different crops, make coffee, alcohol recipes, etc...)

As for new drugs, I'd love to be able to create my own methlab :D but I understand that's a lot of work and I'd appreciate to get some QoL updates and bug fixes first.

I would just like to see a way to disable the sleep_deprivation mechanic. It's annoying.

A toggle for it is already added, just waiting for a release.
