Quark chests display as a single item with an unlocalized name of tile.quark:custom_chest_.name, no item texture, and a quantity of 32,767 when included in recipes from Iron Chests, and presumably any other mod recipes that use chestWood from the Ore Dictionary in their recipes.

EDIT: I can confirm this happens with other mods too. Here is a recipe from Tinkers' Construct.
