I am unable to break one of my totems of holding, no matter how many times I whack it. I tried going in creative and hitting it -- that didn't work. I even tried died a second time (since Dark Souls mode is turned on in the config) but the totem is still there. Furthermore, another totem was created after I died the second time, and that one dropped everything! What could be causing this issue with that one totem, and what could fix it?

I will note that I was on a server, in case that info helps.
