Can't reproduce. Try breaking and replacing?

I've seen this a few times, not just once. Try placing a vanilla double chest first, then placing the spruce chests beside it (like in the image). If it still doesn't happen, try again with a different orientation.

It happens when you place the chests looking the direction the lock wont appear, chest next to it or not, still happens.
