Tamed Foxhounds don't stay sitting down when you rejoin a world.

Okay so I have a similar issue as WhiteKoyuki I can make the foxhound sit by shift-right clicking but to make it stand up and follow me I have to have something in my hand can be anything by the likes of it it seems. I also have the same issue as WhiteKoyuki where the foxhound always makes an eating sound when you right click on it.

Edit: I can use anything to make it sit and stand up as long as its not an empty hand.

We are having a similar issue (but perhaps not the same? Let me know if I should make a separate issue) on our multiplayer server. After a weird hiccup where everyone got booted (but the server did not crash), one of my players is reporting that her Foxhound, who is still tamed and named and everything, will no longer respond to sit commands. It is constantly in the following state. Logging in/out did not fix it, neither did restarting the server.

My issue is I can't make my foxhound sit or sit up. The only way for me to make it sit is to have coal in my hand. Also is it intended for the foxhound to make a deep pitch eating sound every time you right click it? It sounds like a heavy crunching sound.
