1.14 beta - weird shift click behavior

How to replicate: split a stack of items in your inventory, then shift click those item in your hotbar
Problem: it combines the stack back but in multiple stacks, if you click on one of them it's behaving like a visual glitch and gives you the full stack
Versions:
Quark-beta-2.0-185
forge-1.14.4-28.1.0 (tested with 28.1.39, same behavior)
MC 1.14.4
