1.12 - Slimes spawn rates ABYSMAL in slime chunks

To start with this issue, I need to let you know a few things about myself:

  • I have been playing consistently since InDev
  • Ever since the beginning I've been interested in the technical side of Minecraft
  • I've built farms for mobs, items, and crops in many settings across my time
  • I've played Modded and Vanilla about equal time

This being said, I can not figure out why my slime farm isn't working. The biggest problem, is that it was working VERY well until the most recent update to AutoRegLib and subsequently Quark (I don't think Oddities was updated.) Wearable Backpacks is the only other mod, adding a backpack item that can be placed in the world like a shulker chest and put on your back for carrying.

Unfortunately, I am not the server owner and do not have access to the server's logs. I can try to get them later but for now he is not available.

Nothing other than updating our mods has changed with my farm, or the area around it. I've lit up every cave and block in a 16 chunk diameter around the farm, using the MoreOverlays client mod to easily spot where a monster could potentially spawn. I am the only one on the server. Using the slime in a bucket and Amidst I can tell the chunks are both slime chunks. I am over 24 blocks away from the first spawning space, but closer than 120 blocks from the farthest space.

And like I said before, the most important detail, this WAS working FANTASTIC before the update. I'm not sure how these mods effect spawning or the like for slimes in chunks, but for some reason something is off. Every time I log in, I see one slime spawn immediately (most of the time) and after that nothing.

I finally got around to testing this in a single player world and spawning rates seem fine. There must be something I am missing in my multiplayer setting that is causing this issue, maybe something in the server's settings. Sorry I took so long to test!
