When placing a boat in a chest, the chest won't be visible inside the boat, but will function as though it were there, when breaking the boat, the chest won't drop. There very specific conditions for this from my testing:

-the player has to be in survival

-the chest has to be in a stack of one

I tested this with oak boats and chests but idk whether it applies to others
