Reasoning for this is that the carved wood cornerpiece isn't in any way similar to stripped logs - seeing as they're literally logs, while the carved wood looks a bit like the wood equivalent of chiseled stone.

although stripped logs facing out can look okay with stripped logs (as long as it's a flat face and not the corner of a cube), this does not work with mixtures of vertical and horizontal planks. I would like the carved wood back since it serves a different purpose than stripped logs.
