Disabling features in config is not actually working

I tried at first to disable individual features (most of the automation stuff, as I'd like redstone to stay vanilla compatible) but it's not actually disabling them at all. Disabling the whole category removes the recipes, but dispensers still place blocks, for example.
Tried disabling all my mods except quark to see if there was a conflict going on, but the behaviour is the same - disabling things is not working.

I figured that might be the case! The dispensers were my main concern though. Pistons are disabling correctly at least - but for the other features when disabling them individually, the recipes are not being removed, that only happens when the whole category is disabled.

Disabling recipes individually definitely seems to work. Which ones aren't being disabled?

Sorry for the late reply - just saw the new update though and can verify the recipes & dispenser behaviour are now disabling correctly!

For me disabling works, except for passive creatures and stonelings. (I even set the biome Array empty and they are still spawning)

I'm actually still having this issue in 1.14 for Stonelings. They break some unloader designs for creeper farms and I turned them off in the server config file and they are still spawning in bulk.
