Right-clicking to add an item to a shulker box's inventory doesn't work. The item is still in the cursor and nothing is added to the shulker box.

I am having this exact issue in my modpack where I just can't right click any items into shulkerboxes and I have neither apotheosis nor curious shulker boxes installed as someone mentioned in this thread. I have no idea what mod causes this. I can see the indicator appear next to the shulker box but no items get put in. Has anyone solved this for sure yet?

This is happening on 1.16.5 with the latest version of quark on curseforge

I SOLVED THE ISSUE - The conflicting mod is "mouse tweaks". If you remove mouse tweaks this gets fixed (atleast in 1.16.5).

Also, the advanced tooltip shows a normal-size shulker box for Iron Shulker Boxes. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/iron-shulker-boxes

Might want to blacklist those, I'm not sure how it would add to slots beyond the normal shulker box

I can't reproduce after updating. I'll chock it up to having something to do with "Changed how quark loads the config to hopefully fix a bunch of cases where turning something off in the config didn't actually turn it off".

Ah, sorry - I was testing this in a different instance with JUST quark. It works there, but in my "main" 1.14 instance, it doesn't. There is some incompatibility, I'm in the process of splitting mods until I figure out where the problem is. I was definitely testing this only on the hotbar; #1705 says it never works on the hotbar. Same issue?

Edit: Nevermind, other issue is for 1.12. I can't read.

I also had this problem with the modpack "All the mods 4" version 0.2.7 hope this helps with finding the bug

Today I also ran into this problem running "Valhelsia" version 0.1.5

I tested this and it does not work even with forge-28.1.109, jei and quark + autoregex

Same problem with the shulker box preview thing being too small.

Just did some testing in my own personal modpack, and found that both Apotheosis and Curious Shulker Boxes caused this issue. Removing both mods fixed the issue; re-adding either one caused the issue to return.

Disabling all of Apotheosis' modules via it's config file did not change anything. Curious Shulker Boxes appears to have no config file.

Further testing reveals that loading only Apotheosis, Quark and their coremods does not cause this issue. Ditto for Curious Shulker Boxes. The issue appears to be elsewhere?

Will continue testing.

I have now removed six different mods and had the issue go away; however, in every single case, booting only that mod and Quark does not cause the same issue. To say I'm confused is a dramatic understatement

At this point, I'm writing it up to a haunted computer. I apologize for wasting anyone's time.

I simply could not get a reproducible cause either @ridjack. Very odd.

Further adventures into the Shulker Box Right Clicking Problem.

Today, I added the Strange mod, which is currently in Alpha. No problems with the Shulker Box here.

Afterwards, however, I removed Gravestones in favor of trying Strange's Totem of Preserving... after removing Gravestones and without making any other changes, I was no longer able to right click items into Shulker boxes. Re-adding Gravestones returned the ability.

I don't have words for the weirdness of this problem.
