Edit: This is a problem because there's a hover out either side, meaning swapping the location of the nutrition button and the chest buttons doesn't solve the issue. The chest buttons would fit up between the crafting grid and the player display, but it's a weird place for them and I presume the tooltips would flick over the player all the time when you randomly moved your mouse there when crafting.

Just the ability to toggle off the chest button tooltips would be wonderful (iirc they didn't used to have them? also, I can see toggles for other tooltips so I might just be being blind in the config.)
