Minecraft 1.15.2, Forge 31.3.36, quark 2.1-229

I was trying to find a slimes and slime chunks in my game and was having no luck so I gave myself the slime in a bucket. I noticed that the slime chunks it found for me all wran north/south in straight lines, so I created a new Profile with just Quark and Building gadgets (so I could clear vast areas.) in this world I found a huge three wide north south slime chunk (according to the slime in a bucket) and cleared it down to less than 40 and no slimes spawn.

I checked the code and it's identical to vanilla. Can you check with a slime chunk finder app and verify if the coordinates match those the bucket shows?

I had checked using chunkbase and the slime bucket did not indicate that the chunk specified in chunkbase was a slime chink and no slimes spawned. I will try creating a superflat when I can today and see if any slimes spawn or if the chunks line up (I think that "bug" is still in vanilla, slimes spawning in superflats.)

I remember there being an issue like this in the past, where the slime chunk map gets broken and becomes stripes, but I cannot find a reference to it and I don't remember if it was a forge issue or mod issue. I just figure I would start here and go forward from that.

I'll follow up after I can do the superflat test.

Just checked during lunch and slimes are spawning on a superflat and the chunks seem to match chunckbase for the seed "7736926050707808593"@88:-8 however the slime in a bucket is not indicating a slime chunk.

What a weird issue. @ridjack, can you post a log so I can know the versions to compare the code for?

Seeing this same thing; on a certain point on the X axis, every single chunk is indicated as a slime chunk by the Slime in a Bucket. Botania's Slime in a Bottle appears to be working normally; I haven't yet verified the chunks that it's indicating are indeed spawning slimes, but it's not behaving unexpectedly in any way.

Debug report generated while flying along the offending axis with a Slime In a Bucket in one hand and Slime in a Bottle in the other:

(No idea if that's helpful, but I figure too much information is better than too little.)

Hi, a little more info that may or may not be helpful. Using Enigmatica 5 pack, I created a superflat with the seed 1234567890. I then set up 1-chunk compartments, looked up the seed on chunkbase and marked which ones should have slimes in them. After setting difficulty back to normal, slimes spawned in the compartments predicted by chunkbase.

I got the same result as ridjack. The slime-in-a-buckets, both spawned in and legitimately crafted, both sat idle while the Slime-in-a-bottle jumps around as expected.

What does my testing reveal? Not much I guess, other than to confirm that, at least for superflats, chuckbase is still accurate for 1.15.2
