Hi there, I have Quark and some of the "friend" mods installed, notably Extra Boats and I noticed that, when I put a Chest into a boat, I can't access the Inventory of the chest. I can only craft a boat with a chest. Then I get a boat from a modded wood type, but a vanilla oak chest and can access its inventory. I posted an Issue on the issue tracker for extra boats, but it seems the problem lies with quark, as placing the modded chests into the boats in the world is sthg that Quark adds.

The Versions of my mods are the newest ones at the time of writing this

I think I realized now, that when you put the chest in a boat, that is already in the world, the chest inventory is accessible while you're inside the boat, not from the outside. So the difference is, a crafted boat with a chest can be sneak-right clicked to access its inventory, whereas the boat "crafted" by putting a chest in a boat in the world can be accessed while you're sitting in the boat and accessing your inventory.

Doesn't extra boats already allow you to add chests to boats? I don't think there's any point to having the feature doubled. Does disabling quark's chests in boats feature fix this?

You can either craft a boat with a chest to get a "chest boat", with a vanilla chest in it, or you put a boat into the world, then right-shift-click on it with a chest In your hand and depending on the chest (dark oak, birch, rosewood, etc.) you then have a boat with a chest in it. The difference is that the first has an inventory that is accessible by shift-right-clicking on the chest boat while the second one doesn't allow that, but only let's you see the chest's inventory, while you're in the boat and then open, your player inventory.

The Chest Boat item is the extra boats variant. The one where you right click is the quark variant. This seems to be working as intended?

Yes, I was just wondering why there is a difference in the Form that you access the inventories of boats and chests. At first I thought it was a bug that you couldn't access the inventory when you sneak-right-click a boat with a quark chest in it, but it seems this was intended.

The reason these are different is because they're two different mods doing similar things. The right-click one creates an entirely different entity than the item one.
