Hi. I understand your intention behind trying to point to current events in USA. But because of the way it's implemented it's more likely will make an opposite effect. In current version (Quark-r2.1-243) the screen displays each time you launch Minecraft and try to start to play. So after 3-4 times the black screen will just annoy them, and make negative impression about the mod, and the situation in general.

Another problem is language. I noticed you limited this screen to only English players. But the fact is many people just prefer to play games on a its original language. For example, I'm living on almost an opposite side of planet from USA, we don't even have black people here aside tourists.

Not to mention, games in general are not really good place for politics.

So what I suggest: please, make an option to disable this screen, or at least show it only a couple of times, and not after each restart of Minecraft.

lol, I got so many complaints from the people on my server that I just changed the line in the file BLMHandler.java
private static boolean didTheThing = false;
...to...
private static boolean didTheThing = true;
...and compiled the build, making it available to everyone.

Sadly, not an option for packmakers who use curseforge to distribute their packs.

This whole black screen virtue signaling thing is beyond sad, anyway. I don't even live in the US, this bit of malicious code is hindering my ability to just play the game.

Vazkii doesn't live in the US either.
