The filter and sort container buttons are in the middle of the crafting grid in the pattern grid from Refined Storage, and they block the built in sort button in the Dank Storage UI.

I am having the same problem of overlapping UI buttons, in my case it is with Inventorio which replaces the player inventory screen. I blacklisted the screen as described (the ID is me.lizardofoz.inventorio.client.ui.InventorioScreen) but this has disabled sorting entirely in the player inventory.

I recommend you enable the config option in the General category to log the screen names, and then put them in the blacklist.
