In both creative and survival, it is impossible to craft the obsidian pressure plate since they do not have a recipe.
Checked with Just Enough Items and no configuration of Obsidian in the crafting table works.
The only way to get them is by using commands or from creative inventory.

No, I am not using a modpack.
I have checked the config both inside the game and the common file outside it. It says the obsidian plate recipe is true. Still doesn't work. The crafting does nothing and according to JEI the recipe does not exist, but the item does and works properly.

BTW I am running the latest version of quark - 2.72

I am so sorry. I fixed it, no need to read further unless curious about my stupidity.

So I checked a bit more, and it turns out I cannot make ANY of the automation blocks. I thought this was weird, but dismissed it. Then, while copying the config file to show you, I noticed that the "automation" was set to false... The category was set to false. I have no idea how it happened, although I probably did it by accident.
Once I set it to true everything worked.
