game crash when opening inventory or chests

i've tried quark on 1.16.1 to 1.16.4 and all have resulted in a crash when opening either the inventory or a chest, to note i'm using the mod on its own, i've tried using different version of quark and all resulted in the phenomena, it normally happens when clicking on an item or simply moving the cursor
