Configurations are acting weird (Resetting themselves/not changing)

Whenever I try to change some settings in the config (using the q button in the menu) they either reset after I change some other setting or don't change entirely. It also varies based on the setting, some seem to act differently depending on other settings (for example, when everything in automation is set to false, trying to set "greener grass" to false results in it just resetting back to true). It seems that it's not the only case with settings being "dependent" on each other, but it's quite vague and I'm not sure how each one affects each other.

If you need any more details I will provide them happily when I have free time.

I've been having this happen too. The most common way it happens is I change the configs and click all the appropriate 'save changes' etc buttons, but when I leave the menu there's no popup in chat and the changes do not take place. Going back into the menu reveals that the changes have been made, but they just don't have an effect. This happens even with stuff like Greener Grass, which I know from past experience doesn't require a restart.

I've also had instances where going back into the menu shows that the changes weren't made after all, and I have also had settings reset sometime when I wasn't looking (the Chorus Vegetation and Spiral Spires, in my case).

Sometimes config files change between versions; the best thing to do is remove (or rename) the original config file and let Quark generate a fresh one. If this doesn't work, please report back.

I think I may be encountering the same issue?
I am trying to disable the new autowalk keybind. The value in the menu does change for me (and remains changed when I reopen it), but the keybind for it just keeps working.

I also tried deleting my quark config file and having it be regenerated, and I also tried manually setting "Auto Walk Keybind" to false in it, which didn't work either.
This happens with just quark, quark oddities, and autoreglib.
I also tried disabling chest searching, which did not seem to work for me either. (At least the filter button was still there, I assume disabling it would remove it?).

EDIT: Actually, after several restarts, the config updated properly now. I guess those configs require a restart or perhaps I was just confused, sorry.^^

I've found that with a freshly generated config, toggling Fairy Rings to false will reset all the World settings to true (including Fairy Rings too). I haven't checked if it resets the entire config, or just the World section of it. In general, toggling most options for me is unreliable in this way.

I don't have access to the instance of minecraft on which this bug occurred anymore, but one of the fixes I tried was this and it didn't help. Right now I tried installing a new instance with the same versions of mods and the bug just magically disappeared, so I'm not sure what caused it in the first place.

I installed a completely fresh installation with the latest forge(36.0.14) and quark(r2.4-303) versions and the problems still exists. It seemed to work at first, and I saved the settings in chunks first but a little further into testing the settings reset again.
