Could the new version 1.11.2 be made compatible for 1.11 since it is a different version and different Forge. Not many mods out there for 1.11.2 and even Forge versions aren't stable yet.

1.11 mods loads on 1.11.2 Forge, so what is the point in staying on 1.11?

1.11.2 Forge is still very unstable.
A compatible 1.11 would be helpfull for testing as well due to Forge 1.11 being stable.
Not all 1.11 mods load on 1.11.2 either.
