Empty seed pouches will only take wheat seeds, pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, or beetroot seeds. Pre-filled pouches from the creative menu filled with other seed types, like saplings, can have their contents removed and reinserted like normal. However, once the pouch is emptied, the items cannot be reinserted.
