In Vanilla, masons at the journeyman level have trades where they buy 16 granite, andesite, or diorite for an emerald or where they sell 4 polished granite, andesite or diorite for an emerald. However, the corresponding trades do not seem to exist for the Quark overworld stones of slate, jasper, limestone, and marble.
