I have noticed that chickens will eat seeds from troughs but they don't always breed. They will constantly eat the seeds until they are gone, but not reproduce.

Just to clarify, the hearts are shown above them, but they don't breed.

Is the "Love Chance" the chance for breeding, regardless if the hearts show or not?

I came here to see if this had been already reported. We are seeing this issue with the cows on our server. The cows are doing nothing but eating on the feeding trough full of wheat. For me, 16 cows consumed over 8k wheat in less than 24 hours (all that I had). Watching the trough, I see about 1 wheat being consumed per second.

This is on Forge 1.16.5-36.2.8 and Quark r2.4-316. The modpack we are playing is Valhelsia 3.4.4.

Hello! Quark's moved to 1.18 now-- unfortunately, this means that (unless your bug is critical and/or game-breaking), we're closing support for issues filed for versions prior to it (e.g. Quark on 1.16).

i'll give that a try.

Per your suggestion, i killed off all but two adult chickens in my pen. I added 64 wheat seeds to the trough and they at all them. They didn't display the hearts or attempt to breed. The animation just showed them continually eating the seeds...

I wanted to update you that the other animals are working fine. Even modded animals like theTurkey from Autumnity, but not the Minecraft chicken...

This appears to be happening to sheep also...
Something isn't kosher with the trough and these two animals...
