With Enchantment Tooltips on I can see for all other enchantments in the game where they get applied to with a example being with the sword. However I noticed that the shield bash enchantment as seen in the screenshot does not include a standard enchantment tooltip. Is this possibly due to the shield not being a flat texture like the sword or pickaxe?

The shield isn't included in the default list of items it checks to put in there. You can add it in the config and it'll show up.
